Cristina Rotoni is a microbial ecologist specializing in host-selected root microbiomes, with a focus on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Her research integrates plant traits, microbial interactions, and multi-omic approaches to understand how microbiomes shape plant performance and sustainable productivity. She is experienced in microbiome analysis, environmental biotechnology, and plant–microbe interactions. Trained in international research environments, Cristina is also dedicated to science communication and STEM education, bringing microbiome science to diverse audiences through outreach and creative expression.
