My research focuses on understanding whether plant evolutionary processes are mediated by climatic changes, abiotic factors and biotic interactions. My studies are usually conducted in experimental settings. However, I am extremely focused on investigating cliff ecological processes in natural conditions, as iconic landmarks that are refuge for many different rare and endemic plants. Assessing the role of fungal communities for plant's adaptation to cliff extreme conditions is key for understanding their outstanding specialization processes.
