Ida Auken is one of Denmark’s most forward-looking political leaders, known for her work at the intersection of climate, food systems, and social progress. A Member of the Danish Parliament since 2007, she served as Minister for the Environment from 2011 to 2014, driving national and international policy on sustainability. Ida Auken played a central role in formulating and adopting Denmark’s climate law, setting an ambitious target of 70%  CO2 reduction in 2030.
Today, she serves as spokeswoman on food and agriculture and is working to ensure a transformation in agriculture towards more regenerative and plant based agriculture with room for nature. Auken is an active voice in shaping global dialogue. She is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and her ideas have reached international audiences through platforms such as the New York Times. Auken continues to champion innovative solutions for a more sustainable and equitable future.
