Research Description
My research focuses on the richness of soil fungal communities, especially in Africa; plant-fungal interactions; their effects on ecosystems; and the application of these interactions to enhance agricultural productivity in Africa and beyond. I use high-throughput techniques to evaluate biodiversity using eDNA metabarcoding to improve our understanding of soil fungi.
