Research Description
My PhD thesis is focused on fungal taxonomy, specifically the taxonomy and ecology of Hymenogaster, ‘nut truffles’. These fungi live entirely underground and are mycorrhizal. I do fieldwork across Sweden, including the arctic circle, and use species distribution modelling, DNA sequencing, and microscopy to better understand this genus.
