Cameroon estuary mangrove is increasingly subject to anthropogenic pressures which impact its balance and biological diversity. These Anthropogenic pressures combined with climate change and sea-level rise, urge the need to conserve, protect, and restore tidal wetlands. Many works have been carried out on the floristic and animal's diversity of mangrove forests of Cameroon but very few on microbial's diversity especially on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). However, with the current context of global warming and anthropogenic pressures which are increasingly degrading this ecosystem, it remains important to think about conservation strategies. Thus, Mbiako and surrounding places are the chosen sites with interesting profile for this research project because of their slightly anthropized mangrove. In this project, we aim to characterize the AMF of Cameroon estuary to understand their impact on mangrove health and resilience, and how to develop strategies to maintain or enhance ecosystem services provided by this mangrove.
