Research Description
My main two areas of research are seeking to understand the role of microbial secreted proteins, nucleic acids, and metabolites in negotiating symbiotic interactions with plants (chemical ecology). I also study the plant perception systems that enable them to differentiate between mutualistic and pathogenic microbes.
