Research Description
My research focuses on the intersection of bioinformatics, genomics, and computational biology, with an emphasis on understanding microbial diversity, gene family evolution, and biosynthetic pathways. I develop innovative computational tools and pipelines for pangenomics and metagenomics, exploring the distribution and evolution of biosynthetic gene clusters (BGCs) in fungi and bacteria. My work also includes topological data analysis for studying horizontal gene transfer and resistomes, as well as fostering the development of educational resources and collaborations in the bioinformatics community to address global challenges in microbiology and biotechnology.
