Research Description
Regenerating Degraded Soils through Agroecological Practices
The "Experimental farm Double Dike" (Proefboerderij Dubbele Dijk) living lab focuses on restoring heavily degraded soils facing emerging saline stress by applying agroecological principles. By enhancing soil microbiome–plant interactions, we aim to increase the fungal-to-bacterial ratio—an indicator of soil health—compared to conventional agricultural systems.
