I am establishing bioresources of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) from less investigated habitats particularly forests to unveil dark AMF and their associated bacteria. After identification and description, isolated AMF are used in laboratory experiments to check previous DNA-based hypotheses and clarify how AMF diversity and cohabitation drive their functions.

I'm a lecturer and researcher in the field of plant protection at the University of Jember, Indonesia, with a strong focus on plant–microbe interactions and biological control. My research focuses on exploring the role of functional microbes such as Trichoderma, mycorrhizae, and other beneficial microorganisms in enhancing plant resistance

We are interested in the joint impacts of fungal pathogens and mycorrhizal fungi in shaping plant communities and their responses to global change (warming, drought, and fragmentation). We work in tropical forests and grasslands. We use a combination of "omic" methods, theory, fieldwork, labwork, and remote sensing.

My research focuses on forest ecology, specifically how symbiotic soil microbes (mycorrhizal fungi) and non-mycorrhizal endophytes help forest trees adapt to climate change. I study how shifting microbial communities, particularly drought-adapted ones, improve tree seedling survival and drought tolerance. I am applying these findings to improve reforestation efforts by testing whether soil fungal communities increase survival success in forests and post-agricultural lands in changing climates.

The researcher is focused on providing a baseline data on mycorrhizal diversity and tree growth, to support conservation efforts of Miombo ecosystem in Mount Gorongosa, Mozambique. As this ecosystem has been threatened by climate change and anthropogenic activities, despite its crucial role for biodiversity by providing goods and services.

Rehabilitation of degraded post-mining areas using bio-phytoremediation modified with soil ameliorants. These include mycorrhizal fungi, beneficial bacteria/ fungi (i.e. endophytic microbes and phosphate-solubilizing microorganisms), plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria, and modified organic compounds (nanobiochar and pot-organic). These approaches are combined with the utilization of indigenous plant species supported by smart irrigation systems.

I am a principal research fellow working with the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria for the past 22 years and specialize in soil microbiology, organic farming, bio fertilizer production, organic medical herbal products for sustainable healthy living. I currently handle land use management courses at the Pan African University Life and Earth Sciences Institute (PAULESI).

I am a PhD student studying the influence of ericoid mycorrhizal fungi on blueberry (Vaccinium sp.) plant growth and production through field, glasshouse, and laboratory experiments.

Working with undergraduate students at the University of Panamá in the Agronomy Faculty in Agroforestry Engineering, one of our objectives is to strengthen their capabilities in understanding how the soil and its microorganisms work. Under this focus, we will try to evaluate the total fungal and mycorrhizal community richness and composition that will vary with elevation due to changes in climatic influences, in addition to soil characteristics and the influence of vegetation. For that, we will be establishing plots to collect data at several sites across the Comarca Ngäbe-Buglé in partnership with the GCBC-STRI project. In addition, our students will be using STRI labs for molecular (DNA) analysis and sequencing of fungal and mycorrhizal communities, working with Dr. Kristin Saltonstall.

I am a plant and soil ecologist who mainly works in grasslands and other open ecosystems such as the underground forests of the Brazilian Cerrado and Campo Rupestre savanna systems. Much of my research centres on explaining belowground processes and biodiversity using aboveground plant traits.

I am the founder and director of the Telluride Environmental Science and Engineering Laboratory (TESEL).  I am also the Director of Science and Research at the Telluride Institute.  My laboratory has a portfolio of ongoing projects focused on environmental biology in alpine and subalpine ecosystems in the San Juan Mountains near Telluride Colorado.  Much of my research focuses on complex-systems biology and fungal biodiversity, including a new research initiative to assess mycorrhizal and endophytic fungi in high-elevation fens.

I am interested in plant-microbe interactions, specifically fungal symbioses in marine and coastal systems, and I am passionate about bridging the local research to implementation gap by exploring real world applications for conservation and restoration. Currently, I am investigating the seagrass microbiome, specifically associated marine fungi, on O’ahu, Hawai’i.

Overall research question is: how is the plant – soil nitrogen cycle in Montane cloud forest in Peru affected by lack of rain and clouds

1) Are plants and microbes in canopy soil and in ground soil  N or P limited ?  2) Does drought by rain removal - decrease or increase gross N mineralization ?
3) and has stronger impact in the epiphytes N uptake than in ground-living herbs ?

La investigación esta basada en todos los componentes de la agricultura regenerativa, no solamente las alternativas para recuperar los suelos, si no también las selección de nuevas variedades de plantas adaptadas a estas técnicas, estamos comparando las diferentes técnicas: aplicación de abonos orgánicos, sobretodo basados en bioles, compost y   y con microorganismos enriquecedores del suelo: microorganismos de montaña, controladores biológicos: Trichoderma, Bauberia bassiana, Bacillus thuringiensis, micorrizas. Las investigaciones se realizan en terrenos de los campesinos y en terrenos experimentales de Raymi Llacta, sostenida mente estamos realizando cursos de capacitación para agricultores en toda la provincia de Loja, además los resultados están publicados en la revista "Naturaleza" de la casa de la Cultura ecuatoriana núcleo de Loja, así como son expuestos en  los "Martes de Naturaleza" de la misma casa de la cultura a donde asisten autoridades, estudiantes y profesores de universidades y colegios así como periodistas. En mi tesis de doctorado de estado trabajamos sobre el poder patógeno de Helminthosporium maydis y las relaciones huesped parásito.

My research is centered on the intricate relationship between plants and microorganisms, with a particular emphasis on leveraging microbial communities to enhance soil fertility, promote plant growth under diverse conditions, and remediate contaminated soils. I am experienced in investigating the microbial communities associated with plants and their pivotal role in plant health.

I am a microbial ecologist specializing in plant-microbe interactions and soil biogeochemistry. My work uses stable isotope probing, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and soil chemistry to better understand how microbial physiology, traits, and community dynamics influence soil biogeochemical cycles.

I recently completed my PhD entitled ‘The influence of indigenous and exotic mycorrhiza species on Gemlik olive (Olea europaea cv.
