I am working on tropical African mycorrhizal fungi and their interactions with green plants. Research aspects include mycorrhizal networking, integrative taxonomy, evolution, ecology, sustainable uses and conservation of mycorrhizal fungi from tropical Africa

Currently, I work as a researcher and teaching in the Faculty of Agriculture at Tadulako University. My core research area is the functional diversity of arbuscular mycorrhiza, fungal pathogens, and agroecology.

My research focuses on understanding the role of soil fungal communities on plant community composition in different systems (agricultural, grassland and temperate and boreal forest). In addition, I am interest in understanding how global change factors such as soil disturbance, biological invasions and climate change affect such plant-fungal interactions.

Peter’s expertise lies in Plant Ecology and Biodiversity and is particularly interested in studying the complex networks of relationships between organisms and their environment, and how these interactions shape community structure and organisation, as well as ecosystem functioning. His research focuses not only on understanding the factors that influence species composition, diversity and abundance in ecological communities, but also the processes that drive the distributions of species at both fine and coarse spatial scales, as well as temporally.

I am currently a 2nd year MSc. Plant Protection, and my research focuses on the effects of different fertilizer levels on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in different corn varieties under different water regimes. This research aims to evaluate the potential impacts of different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium levels on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi under different water conditions to ascertain the best soil nutrient addition methods that can help sustain soil microbiome functioning and diversity.

My primary research focus lies in harnessing the power of genomics to develop innovative solutions that promote a harmonious relationship between agriculture and the environment. Additionally, I'm passionate about exploring marine bioprospecting for the development of novel drugs and other valuable applications.

Dr. K. Premsagar  research expertise lies in Characterization of metal ion transporters from Neurospora crassa and their role in life cycle development and fungal biodegradation of lignocellulose. Currently working on Trichoderma metal ion transporters,  isolation of fungal biofertilizers from hill and mountain areas in Nalgonda region.

Biotecnología de inoculación con hongos ectomicorrízicos tendiente a reforestaciones exitosas y rehabilitación de ecosistemas forestales. Uso sostenible de hongos comestibles silvestres, como recurso forestal no maderable, para la conservación de ecosistemas naturales en los pueblos originarios de México.

My research interests are within the nexus of ecology and evolutionary biology, studying the role of fungi in generating and maintaining biodiversity. Some current project I am currently working on include the mycobiome of the deep earth and deep sea, systematics of leotiomycetes, and fungal community assembly.

La investigación esta basada en todos los componentes de la agricultura regenerativa, no solamente las alternativas para recuperar los suelos, si no también las selección de nuevas variedades de plantas adaptadas a estas técnicas, estamos comparando las diferentes técnicas: aplicación de abonos orgánicos, sobretodo basados en bioles, compost y   y con microorganismos enriquecedores del suelo: microorganismos de montaña, controladores biológicos: Trichoderma, Bauberia bassiana, Bacillus thuringiensis, micorrizas. Las investigaciones se realizan en terrenos de los campesinos y en terrenos experimentales de Raymi Llacta, sostenida mente estamos realizando cursos de capacitación para agricultores en toda la provincia de Loja, además los resultados están publicados en la revista "Naturaleza" de la casa de la Cultura ecuatoriana núcleo de Loja, así como son expuestos en  los "Martes de Naturaleza" de la misma casa de la cultura a donde asisten autoridades, estudiantes y profesores de universidades y colegios así como periodistas. En mi tesis de doctorado de estado trabajamos sobre el poder patógeno de Helminthosporium maydis y las relaciones huesped parásito.
