My research focuses on understanding the role of soil fungal communities on plant community composition in different systems (agricultural, grassland and temperate and boreal forest). In addition, I am interest in understanding how global change factors such as soil disturbance, biological invasions and climate change affect such plant-fungal interactions.

Agri-ecosystems put a lot of pressure on the soil in efforts to produce more yield. Although it's documented that soil biodiversity dictates the aboveground biodiversity, very little information is available on the role of soil mycorrhiza in promotion of plant health.

I am currently a 2nd year MSc. Plant Protection, and my research focuses on the effects of different fertilizer levels on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in different corn varieties under different water regimes. This research aims to evaluate the potential impacts of different nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium levels on arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi under different water conditions to ascertain the best soil nutrient addition methods that can help sustain soil microbiome functioning and diversity.

La investigación esta basada en todos los componentes de la agricultura regenerativa, no solamente las alternativas para recuperar los suelos, si no también las selección de nuevas variedades de plantas adaptadas a estas técnicas, estamos comparando las diferentes técnicas: aplicación de abonos orgánicos, sobretodo basados en bioles, compost y   y con microorganismos enriquecedores del suelo: microorganismos de montaña, controladores biológicos: Trichoderma, Bauberia bassiana, Bacillus thuringiensis, micorrizas. Las investigaciones se realizan en terrenos de los campesinos y en terrenos experimentales de Raymi Llacta, sostenida mente estamos realizando cursos de capacitación para agricultores en toda la provincia de Loja, además los resultados están publicados en la revista "Naturaleza" de la casa de la Cultura ecuatoriana núcleo de Loja, así como son expuestos en  los "Martes de Naturaleza" de la misma casa de la cultura a donde asisten autoridades, estudiantes y profesores de universidades y colegios así como periodistas. En mi tesis de doctorado de estado trabajamos sobre el poder patógeno de Helminthosporium maydis y las relaciones huesped parásito.

My research is centered on the intricate relationship between plants and microorganisms, with a particular emphasis on leveraging microbial communities to enhance soil fertility, promote plant growth under diverse conditions, and remediate contaminated soils. I am experienced in investigating the microbial communities associated with plants and their pivotal role in plant health.

My research focuses on understanding the function of soil biota, particularly mycorrhizal fungi, when plants are stressed. This work can be applied to managing invasive plants, creating sustainable agriculture systems, and improving restoration outcomes.

Minha pesquisa investiga o papel desses simbiontes na mitigação do estresse hídrico, avaliando parâmetros fisiológicos e bioquímicos que conferem maior resiliência às plantas frente a cenários de escassez de água e mudanças climáticas.

I am a PhD student studying the fundamental and functional role of Mucoromycotina fine root endophytes (MFRE) in plant phosphorus uptake.

Soil Biodiversity and Carbon Dynamic

I study how to optimize the cultivation of the whole diversity of indigenous mycorrhizal communities as well as develop novel methods for measuring their development. I investigate plant host specificity and preference to maximize positive agronomic outcomes from inoculation with diverse mycorrhizal mixes.

I'm a Research Technician at the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology (DBIOS) at the University of Turin, where I study microbial communities (especially fungi) associated with different environments and substrates using molecular investigation techniques.

I am a microbial ecologist specializing in plant-microbe interactions and soil biogeochemistry. My work uses stable isotope probing, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and soil chemistry to better understand how microbial physiology, traits, and community dynamics influence soil biogeochemical cycles.

I recently completed my PhD entitled ‘The influence of indigenous and exotic mycorrhiza species on Gemlik olive (Olea europaea cv. Gemlik) seedling growth under deficit water stress conditions.’ I work as a researcher at the Olive Research Institute, focusing on mycorrhiza–plant interactions under stress conditions.
